‘Chainmail Bikini’ Kickstarter Features Comics By Women About Gaming

Editor Hazel Newlevant is running a Kickstarter campaign for a comics anthology titled Chainmail Bikini, in which women cartoonists create stories about gaming. Given the current environment of the gaming community, this project is a welcome move away from death threats and pathetic anti-"SJW" rhetoric towards a pure expression of love for the medium of games.

The comics are not just about video games, either --- stories will also cover tabletop gaming and LARPing. The Kickstarter has already more than hit its goal of $13,000, and still has 21 days to go --- and full disclosure, I'm one of the backers!

It's a diverse set of creators not just in terms of individuals but also in terms of the art styles of the folks involved. It's nice to see a group of women creators in one male-dominated medium come together to make art dedicated to another male-dominated medium.
