Comic Book Sushi: Cartoon Bento Boxes from Japan
The "Astro Boy" movie is out, and how better to celebrate the Hollywood debut of one of the most beloved manga characters in history than by eating his face for lunch? There is no better way.
This Tezuka treat comes from the pages of "Face Food: The Visual Creativity of Japanese Bento Boxes" by Christopher Salyers,
who traveled around Japan documenting the adorable, meticulous bento boxes created by Japanese mothers. (He's also got another book, "Face Food Recipes," out this week.) Other highlights include Spider-Man, Pikachu, and Powerpuff Girls bento boxes -- check out more of our favorites after the jump.
