First of all, I did not know there was a "Gamer's Edition" of the Guinness Book of World Records, but there is, and it just came out. In this book you can learn many things, like the fact that a British woman named Lisa Courtney now has the largest Pokemon collection in the world. That's her in the picture above, which has an uncomfortable "Gulliver's Travels" meets Zerg rush quality that makes me feel like the toys are about to swarm over her, leaving only bones and a slightly ripped Pokemon t-shirt behind. The collection was counted by Guinness at over 12,000 items, but she reports that it has since grown even larger.

The 21-year-old, from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, has spent 13 years building up the collection which she said has swelled to more than 13,400 since it was counted by Guinness record-checkers last year and fills most of the house she shares with mother Sharon...

"My family have been incredibly supportive considering the collection takes up the whole house, including my mother's room!"

"I've even named the room where my main collection resides Pokemon Centre Europe."

Miss Courtney began her love affair with Pokémon when she saw a picture of Pikachu in a Nintendo magazine and started collecting even though she had no idea what the characters were.
