What happens when a young boy named Joey Jones discovers a patriotic robot toy on the American West Coast? The toy transforms into a giant, evil fighting machine controlled by Joey, that's what!

Created by Stan Lee of Pow! Entertainment, "Heroman" is a forthcoming Square Enix anime from BONES, the studio that churned out "Fullmetal Alchemist."
According to Anime News Network, Japanese viewers will be able to catch the series starting in April. No word yet on when or if it'll make its way to the United States or other regions.

Topless Robot's comparison to "G Gundam's" Neo American Gundam Maxter (who wore a football helmet and flew around on a surf board) aside, Heroman does kind of seem like a mashup of an EVA unit, Frank Miller's Big Guy armor and Pat Dugan's S.T.R.I.P.E. suit.

Call me crazy, but I am a little bit excited to see how it turns out - partially because Joey and I seem to have the same hair cut right now and partially because I'm jealous that his action figure can fight evil and mine only fight shelf space.
