Say what you will about Mark Millar, but for action junkies, the movie adaptation of his and John Romita, Jr.'s "Kick-Ass" looks like it's going to live up to the title. But if the film and the comic book aren't satisfying your need for a bloody fix, maybe the upcoming video game will do the trick.

IGN has the word on a new "Kick-Ass" game in development from WHA Entertainment, currently set for an April 15 release on the PlayStation Network and the iPhone. In the game, players pick their preferred character - Kick-Ass, Hit Girl or Big Daddy - and subsequently embark upon a bloody New York City rampage filled with side quests and mini-games galore. On top of all that, the game has a multiplayer mode, so gamers can wage a brutal war against crime alongside a good buddy.

Honestly, it sounds like a fun time to me. I can certainly think of less kick ass ways to spend my time riding the NYC transit system. Plus, the opportunity to terrorize enemies with a Nicolas Cage avatar is way too good to pass up.
