Fans of Phil Hester and Andy Kuhn's Image comic "Firebreather" fans have been waiting for a closer look at Cartoon Network's upcoming CG animated feature since the project's announcement some time ago, and this past Sunday at CN's Comic-Con CG animation panel, they finally got what they were waiting for. For those who didn't catch a glimpse of the animated adaptation of Phil Hester and Andy Kuhn's Image comic, however, a portion of the "Firebreather," teaser has found its way to Comics Continuum.

The new footage sees protagonist Duncan Rosenblatt hounded by bullies in gym class, choosing flight over fighting as he bolts through his high school to avoid trouble. When cornered, however, Duncan's abilities as a half-dragon manifest in the form of his namesake as Firebreather. So far the action seems in line with Hester and Kuhn's (who served as executive producers on the feature) vision from the comic, although fans still haven't gotten a good look at his full-on dragon form.
