Erotic superheroes and cartoon characters can be found all over the Internet these days, thanks to "Batman XXX" and artists with an affection for Disney princesses like J. Scott Campbell. But Italian artist Giuseppe Veneziano, whose recent art show in Pietrasanta, Italy has stirred up controversy for its depiction of a baby Hitler embracing the Virgin Mary, has brought his iconoclastic approach to superheroes as well. Veneziano's style and palette may be simpler than Campbell, but his images are just as racy -- with even less clothing.

Spider-Man, Batman, Jessica Rabbit and Snow White all show up in Veneziano's (NSFW) "Declino Del Supereroe" series, which imagines Wonder Woman discovering her own personal state of wonderment, ponders how Robin, Catwoman and Batman all feel about each other and tests Daredevil's environmental awareness.

The brief introduction to Veneziano's work below has been pixelated for non-adult viewing, but the NSFW versions should be accessible through the links. There, you'll see what all over your favorite underwear-clad adventurers enjoy doing when the spandex comes off and the artist in control channels Salvador Dalí.
