Green Lantern Hal Jordan may be best known for smashing foes' faces with fist-shaped ring constructs, but new merchandise images released by Warner Bros. depict the hero rocking some heavy firepower. It's too early to know if the space gun goodness will perfectly synch up with the Green Lantern film's events on June 17, but it's at least good to know those chosen to serve in the corps (anyone who picks up a basic action figure will become equipped with a kids-sized wearable ring) will have their share of opportunities to obtain corresponding projectile powers.

Mattel's toy line will be split into multiple categories including kid-friendly Basic figures and more substantial Deluxe figures, Battle Shifters and Movie Masters toys, which will all come with demographic-appropriate accessories. There'll also be scads of corresponding playsets and vehicles for the line, including Hal Jordan's jet. Furthermore, there's a clear green plastic Green Lantern Colossal Cannon Blaster kids can use to, well, totally not shoot each other's eyes out with.

Mattel's not the only license holder, however. WB's press release lays out all the companies that will be offering GL movie products this year:

Additional key licensees include Rubies, with a line of Green Lantern costumes and costume accessories; the Noble Collection, offering high-end ring and lantern prop replicas; and NECA, with a Green Lantern Projection Ring and other accessories. Licensees also supporting Green Lantern include: Pressman Toy, Hewlett-Packard, Funko, Horizon Group USA, Hy-Ko Products, Kidz Toyz, LPG International, Mezco Toyz, SRM Entertainment, Toy Factory, Trend Setters Ltd, Formation Marketing Canada Ltd. and University Games.
