Season one of AMC's hit The Walking Dead TV series only just debuted on Blu-ray and DVD this week, but fans are already eying the next shambling step of Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard's zombie saga into videogames. MTV Splash Page recently spoke with Kirkman about TWD's recently announced videogame adaptation via Telltale Games and gleaned a few new details about this fall's pending survival horror title.Kirkman -- who said he's been looking at story points from the title -- emphasized that the game is still in its early stages, but did pin down that it will be released in episodes (much like many of Telltale's other games) and allow gamers to play as a number of different TWD characters.

"With the episodic nature of how they make the game, they can make a level and release a level, then make another level and release that level, so the game should come out in pretty rapid succession because of that," he said of the release schedule for each episode of "The Walking Dead" game.

It's unknown when more concrete details will surface, but Kirkman said he thinks Telltale will be making some announcements soon and hopefully have some in-game images pretty quickly.

It's probably crazy to hope for PAX East announcements, but maybe by C2E2? If not, fans will probably have to settle for E3 or Comic-Con.
