With a core concept of space cops smashing robots with energy constructs in the shapes of fists, swords and guns, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters seems right at home in the world of videogames. We've seen a few sets of screen shots and a trailer from the game's most powerful console ports on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but it's always nice to see how the loose movie tie-in is adapted to smaller screens -- especially on the new Nintendo 3DS. Naturally, the new 3DS trailer is in regular 2D (unless you can pop it onto your device), but it's pretty easy to spot how the green constructs might pop out at players. Check out the new trailer and character renders from the more beefy consoles after the cut.Interestingly, Rise of the Manhunters will be the first superhero game on the 3DS when all versions of the game arrive in stores on June 7. As a newcomer, it'll probably play pretty similarly to the regular Nintendo DS since there's still so much market overlap, but it definitely gets props for taking the 3D plunge so early in the new handheld's life.
