While the film is still a year away from release, The Avengers movie is of course already a hot commodity in the lucrative business of product licensing. The International Licensing Expo begins this week in Las Vegas, where the Marvel Studios' next film is on displaying in a promotional image featuring the main Avengers cast as they will appear in the Joss Whedon film, including new costumes for Captain America and Iron Man and our first look at the live-action Hawkeye. An attendee of the International Licensing Expo in Las Vegas spotted a promotional image for The Avengers, the in-production Marvel Studios films that unites the screen versions of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and the Hulk. While not a proper film poster and more of a Photoshop job, the poster seems to confirm that Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye will be operating sans-mask. Thor is seen once again without his helmet, Captain America is sporting an updated look, and Iron Man's armor seems to have some new silver accents. The Hulk and Black Widow look similar to how they've appeared in previous Marvel Studios films.

[UPDATE: Comic Vine has a hi-res image, which you can contrast with the original below]

Written and directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg and Tom Hiddleston. The film opens May 4, 2012.

[Senior Editor's note: Here's also a completely unnecessary image from my desk playing up this poster's action figure prophecies]
