Lego fan site Bricktuts has uncovered a new promo image for Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, an apparent sequel to Warner Bros. Interactive and Traveler's Tales' successful 2008 Lego Batman videogame title. Not much is known about the game, but apparently both Batman and Superman will be playable characters, with the possibility of icons such as Green Lantern and Wonder Woman (and possibly others) joining the fray as well. Befitting a multi-hero game, Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes may extend well beyond the confines of Gotham City and into Metropolis and other playable locations. The game's multi-hero focus follows Lego and DC's recent licensing agreement, which manifested in the form of a Lego minifigure preview this past summer at Comic-Con.The game doesn't have a specific release date yet, but could be on shelves by summer 2012, which would time nicely with the release of Lego's upcoming Batman sets and other DC merchandise. Though the game's title seems a little crowded, the idea of introducing the rest of the DC Universe through an established franchise has worked well in the past, namely on Cartoon Network's Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
