Sean K. Dove Brings a Smile to Tetsuo, Totoro and More [Art]

Prolific designer, illustrator and former art director at Devil's Due Sean K. Dove brings a honed sense of cartoony composition to pieces ranging from sketch cards to pinups to colorful character profiles. This past fall, Dove brought scads of anime characters and more alive as part of a series celebrating the creations of Hayao Miyazaki and others, with wonderfully endearing results. Looking through his sketches, some of my personal favorites are his tokusatsu-inspired hero designs rich with spandex, scarves and honkin' helmets.
