As if San Diego Comic-Con International wasn't harrowing enough -- Seriously, you should see me by day four if you want to witness true horror -- this year's uber-convention will include a chance to go through your very own zombie apocalypse via something called The Walking Dead Escape, a kind of haunted house-like experience promoting AMC's TWD TV show based on Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard's comic series.Running between July 12 and 14, The Walking Dead Escape offers what it describes as "35-50 minutes of Walking Dead madness" as Petco Park, the sports stadium next to the Convention Center that hosts the convention, is transformed into an undead wasteland for visitors to wander around. "The Walking Dead Escape is not a race," the attraction's official site explains, "No one is timed, and you are not required to run, but the slow usually die for a reason. Be prepared to climb, crawl, and slide."

Interested (and/or potentially crazy) parties will discover such areas as the FEMA Resupply Depot, the Herd Highway and, worryingly, the Acute Zombie Infestation zone along their journey, although participants get to choose just how they'd encounter them: Visitors can sign up as "survivors" to try and get through the park without being zombified (Although, be warned: "The Evacuation Route" will feature multiple obstacles such as cargo nets and rope bridges," apparently), undead "walkers" or, for the faint of heart, spectators who get to watch everything from a safe distance. Ticket prices vary depending on when you sign up, but range from $70-90 for survivors, with walker and spectator prices to be announced. Full details are available at The official Walking Dead Escape site.
