For kids who grow up superhero fans, the fantasy of becoming their favorite hero (or, in the case of a few CA staffers, villain) can be an enduring component of consuming escapist fiction. Andy Fairhurst taps into this fascination through a series of silhouettes, which cast children as their favorite comic book characters at sunset. Whether it's a young Thor soaring with hammer from the garage, a little Batman flying what's surely a Batkite or a budding Poison Ivy winding vines for kicks, Fairhurt's assortment of playful pictures captures a fun look at the positives of superhero playtime. Little Bane should probably be more careful, though. Dude is flirting with disaster the way he stacks furniture. Take a look at Fairhurst's kid superhero silhouettes after the cut.
