If you were wondering whether other DC Comics characters would be showing up in the CW's upcoming Green Arrow series Arrow, then you might want to check out the new trailer for a glimpse at an answer in the guise of a very distinctive mask...

Seen towards the end of the CW's latest teaser for the new series is what definitely looks like the mask of (the head of?) Deathstroke, The Terminator mounted on a stake, with an arrow through it. Considering the status of Deathstroke in the comic book universe -- He's the only villain with his own monthly series, don't forget -- something tells me that this tease isn't spoiling the character's final fate in the show.

Slade Wilson, AKA Deathstroke, first appeared in Marv Wolfman and George Perez' New Teen Titans #2, way back in 1980, with the character becoming such a fan favorite that he was given his own title in 1991 as part of an expansion of the Titans franchise, which lasted five years. Following a period as lead of the recent Titans series, the character regained his own title during the New 52 relaunch. Outside of comics, he's shown up in episodes of Lois and Clark, Smallville and the animated Teen Titans series, as well as the Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths animated movie. Bearing all of that in mind, I think you understand why I suspect that we'll be seeing more of Mr. Wilson when the show premieres this fall.
