I read a lot of weird old comics for work, and every time I see one of those bizarre moments from the Golden Age, I think "the only way this panel could be better is if I could somehow eat it."

Okay, that's a lie. I've never had that thought in my life -- or at least, I didn't until I sampled a cookie from Sylvia Toth's Golden Age Bakery, which specializes in decorating delicious sugar cookies with panels from the early days of comics that have gone into the public domain. Now, Toth is raising money on Kickstarter to expand her business into the greatest storytelling medium of all: Chocolate.I met Toth, the baker / ninjitsu master (for real) behind the Golden Age Bakery a couple of years ago at HeroesCon, when she dropped off a sample of her cookies that featured an edible recreation of Batman throwing a car battery at a thug, so I can vouch for the deliciousness of her baked goods. If, however, you still have doubts, please enjoy a video featuring a remixed comic book that's pretty reminiscent of those old Hostess Fruit Pie ads:

Either way, it's a fun project that's worth supporting if you're into comics and baked goods, although I'm surprised that her list of rewards doesn't include an ultra-premium level where you could get an entire Golden Age story printed in tasty cookie form. I'm not sure how much it would cost, but let's be real here: I would go to the bank and take out a loan right now if the end result was me getting an edible Stardust the Super Wizard story.

Interplanetary Science makes everything taste better. Especially decapitating karate chops.
