And the Suicide Squad characters just keep coming on the CW's new hit series Arrow. Not content with bringing Deadshot, China White, Deathstroke and other villains to the televisual masses in episodes of the show based on DC Comics' Green Arrow, now we can expect to see Count Vertigo.

According to TV Line, the Arrow incarnation of Count Werner Vertigo, the villainous ruler of fictional Eastern European country Vlatava (It's probably located somewhere close to Latveria on the map) turned two-bit crook in the US is likely to undergo a name change before he makes it to the screen -- Apparently, having a guy with vertigo-inducing powers be called "Werner Vertigo" is too "on the nose" or something -- but that particular embarrassment will be made up for by his status within the show's mythology; an anonymous source describes the character as "Oliver's deadliest adversary to date," and that's in comparison to a line-up including Deathstroke.

Vertigo - or whatever he'll end up being called - will be just the latest in a line of characters familiar to longtime DC readers to appear in the show, following not only Deadshot and Deathstroke, but also Firefly, China White, Black Canary (albeit in her Dinah Lance identity) and the Huntress.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 on the CW; "Vertigo," the episode introducing the television incarnation of Count Vertigo, will be broadcast in early 2013.
