Sire coverPress Release

The SIRE returns with an all-new mini-series in June and this time, he's helping as many comic book veterans as he can along the way. After Shock Comics proudly announces - in conjunction with The Hero Initiative - the release of a special SIRE: REVELATIONS #1 CONVENTION SKETCH COVER VARIANT!

Featuring a stunning TALENT CALDWELL cover in its full sketch glory, Sire: Revelations #1 Sketch Variant will be made available first at both Wizard World Philadelphia and Heroes Con June 15th-17th. Fans can go to the Hero Initiative Booth (booth numbers forthcoming) all weekend long to purchase this variant, with the proceeds benefiting veteran comic creators in need of medical or financial assistance. The run on the book is limited to 300 copies so get in line quick to snag a copy for yourself!

"The Hero Initiative is doing amazing things for the people that helped shape our childhoods and beyond," Sire creator Michael Dolce said. "And this was our way, even though we're just a small indy publisher, to help them out."

Sire: Revelations #1 heralds the return of the hit After Shock Comics series and is currently available for order in the April Volume of Diamond Previews (#APR073305) along with a Volume One Collectors Pack (#APR073306) featuring all three issues from the 2006 self-titled debut. Donald Wright was just a lowly secretary before being transformed into the Sire – a superhuman forced to fight evil by his own costume! Now, following the events of the first mini-series, he's come to accept the power he wields, but will he accept his mission? The regular version (32 pages, Full Color) features a cover by Talent Caldwell.

The Hero Initiative is the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. Hero creates a financial safety net for yesterdays' creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. It's a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment.
