Ever since it was first announced last April as the brainchild of Mike Marts and Joe Pruett, AfterShock Comics has been talking a pretty big game. They've signed an impressive roster of talent, but there hasn't been much news about the actual projects --- until today, when AfterShock announced the titles, teams, and release dates for its first four titles.

All four are set to hit shelves in December, with new titles from Paul Jenkins and Andy Clarke, and Marguerite Bennett and Ariela Kristantina, leading the way.

Here's the full list, as provided by AfterShock:

  • Replica, debuting December 1 from writer Paul Jenkins (Batman: The Dark Knight, Spider-Man, Wolverine: Origin) and artist Andy Clarke (Batman, Judge Dredd);
  • InSeXts, debuting December 9 from writer Marguerite Bennett (Batgirl, Sleepy Hollow, A-Force) and artist Ariela Kristantina (Wolverines, Deep State);
  • SuperZero, debuting December 16 from writers Amanda Conner (Harley Quinn) and Jimmy Palmiotti (Deadpool, Jonah Hex, Daredevil), and artist Rafael de Latorre;
  • Dreaming Eagles, debuting December 30 from Garth Ennis and Simon Coleby (2000 AD, The Authority).

While AfterShock's press release promises that these titles will cross "a variety of genres," no other information was given. I think it's a pretty safe to assume that Dreaming Eagles will be a war comic, and the art for Repllica, posted on AfterShock's Facebook page, has got a definite science fiction flavor to it, while the title SuperZero seems pretty self-explanatory.

As for InSeXts, Bennett has described it as a "vicious erotic horror story," which makes it the most intriguing title of the whole lot by far.

The announcement of the new titles is also accompanied b news that AfterShock has signed writer Brian Azzarello, but as you might have already guessed, no further details on his project are available.
