Heading into November, we’re closer than ever to the 2016 return of Agent Carter and Peggy’s big Season 2 move to sunny Los Angeles. That hasn’t stopped even more major additions to the series however, as Veronica Mars and Party Down favorite Ken Marino finally enters the MCU for a recurring role.

Variety broke word of Marino’s casting, specifically that the Wet Hot American Summer star would play the recurring role of mob boss Joseph Manfredi, a volatile leader in the Maggia crime syndicate who helps Peggy’s adversaries further their agenda. Said Agent Carter showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters of the addition:

We’ve loved working with Ken ever since he played a gay ex-demon for us on ‘Reaper,’ and we were so happy he was available for this role. His range is incredible — he can go from comedy to romance to drama with ease. Writing for him is easy, because he can do pretty much anything. And he used to have a karaoke room in his house, which makes him even more awesome.

Adds Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb:

At Marvel, even our villains need a certain degree of charm as they make life difficult for our heroes. Ken brings a quality to Joseph Manfredi that only serves to make him even more menacing, adding another layer of depth to our already outstanding supporting cast.

Elsewhere of Agent Carter Season 2, we know that The Newsroom alum Wynn Everett will play our new big bad Madame Masque, along with Currie Graham as her husband, Kurtwood Smith as War Department vet Vernon Masters, Outlander star Lotte Verbeek as Jarvis’ wife Ana, and Devious Maids alum Reggie Austin as Jason Wilkes, a quirky, yet charismatic scientist, and likely Peggy’s new love interest.

Both Dominic Cooper and Bridget Regan have been confirmed to reprise their roles as Howard Stark and “Dottie Underwood,” joining James D’Arcy, Enver Gjokaj and Chad Michael Murray’s Edwin Jarvis, Daniel Sousa, and Jack Thompson, respectively. As of yet, Lyndsy Fonseca has not been confirmed to reprise her role as Peggy’s best gal Angie Martinelli.

No word yet on an exact premiere for Agent Carter Season 2, but what can we make of the newest addition to Peggy’s Los Angeles life?
