Last night Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., the new ABC series spinning out of the Marvel film universe, debuted to roughly 11.9 million viewers. Basically, it was pretty popular. And to further capitalize on that popularity, the network announced Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Declassified, a weekly digital video that takes a humorous look at the series while recapping the most recent episode.

Hosted by comedian Brett Ehrlich, the videos, which will be posted every Monday morning, will be a "catch-up" of sorts, with comedic recaps and featurettes for fans of the series. ABC will also run three special expanded installments during the season to give more focus on some of the series' more "provocative storylines." Surprise guests from the show will appear in the videos throughout the season.

The announcement is the latest in a trend of "aftershows," meant to further capitalize on/promote popular shows -- much like AMC's "Talking Dead" for it's hugely popular The Walking Dead series -- as the way we view various television series further evolves to the digital landscape.

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Declassified will be available on ABC.com, Marvel.com, WatchABC.com and the network's Watch ABC app for smartphones and tablets.
