Here’s The Green Goblin From ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2,’ Unmasked

Amazing Spider-Man 2 Green Goblin Face

In a daring move, Sony Pictures has opted to release new information about one of the villains in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 rather than announce that a new one will be appearing. The bad guy in the spotlight? The Green Goblin, who appears unmasked in a new still the studio released to Total Film.

Though his identity may not be much of a surprise to comics fans, it does buck comic book tradition a bit. See for yourself who it is (if you don’t mind the spoiler) after the jump.

Yup, that’s Dane DeHaan, a.k.a. Harry Osborn, grinning on top of all those gears. Comics fans might be surprised to see that he, rather than his dad Norman, played by Chris Cooper, will apparently be the first Osborn to put on the Goblin duds.

Fans will have to wait until the movie hits theaters May 2 to find out if Harry will survive to appear in the recently announced Sinister Six movie. He certainly has a habit of dying and/or disappearing in the comics.

Other baddies in Amazing Spider-Man 2 include Electro (Jamie Foxx) the Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and Alistair Smythe (B.J. Novak).
