It's always hard to let go of a favorite series, but after a pretty healthy stint on
Adult Swim , both "Blood +" and "Death Note" are going to the great nolongeronadultswim realm in the sky.

As Anime Vice reports, even though Cartoon Network's late night programming block has lost a few fan-favorites, the network says it should be adding three new series in their place.

Here's AS's (ha! See what happens?) cryptic message from the AS forums:

"We lost the rights to Death Note and Blood+ - hang on Don't rally and sign Internet petitions - We're just clearing house for goodies from our last Tokyo visit - We can't tell you anything yet. but we think we bought three series - [maybe]."

Anime Vice speculates that these new series could include "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" and "InuYasha: The Final Act." I'd definitely be down for more FMA, but I'm always down for something out of left field. Something a little insane might be just what AS needs to revive its once-thriving anime scene (before it devolved into a Seth McFarlane dumping ground).

What say ye, anime aficionados?
