Anthony Bourdain And Joel Rose Talk ‘Get Jiro!’ [SDCC]

Anthony Bourdain, Joel Rose and artist Langdon Foss have been entertaining and perhaps less-than-subtly teaching proper sushi etiquette to fans since their new original graphic novel Get Jiro! arrived in stores at the beginning of the month. Set in a hyper-violent future where foodie culture reigns supreme, Get Jiro! follows a Japanese sushi chef as he navigates the class divisions, criminal turf wars and cuisine extremes poisoning the culinary landscape of Los Angeles... while occasionally meting out righteous vengeance upon those who willfully dishonor delicious food. We had a chance to sit down with Bourdain and Rose this past weekend during San Diego Comic-Con and ask about their collaboration with Foss, where they drew their inspiration for the tale and its variety of dishes, how they navigate the convention and more.
