While many of us stare vacantly into our Twitter feeds waiting for the promised Arrow Season 4 trailer, the art department for the CW’s vigilante archer aims a bit higher with a first poster. We’ve seen Oliver’s new costume in front of Star City, and now Arrow Season 4 shows us … Oliver’s new costume! In front of Star City! With a tagline!

The CW offered a quick new look at Arrow Season 4 under the tagline “Aim. Higher,” a cute, if perceptibly meta reference to lowered appreciation of the show’s third season. It’s at least a slightly clearer look at the costume, though we don’t yet know exactly what draws Oliver Queen back to the superhero lifestyle.

It certainly won’t be Green Lantern, despite a bit of teasing on producers’ parts.

In addition to its Constantine crossover, we know of Arrow Season 4 that the fourth year is expected to somewhat creatively revamp the series after its Season 3 finale saw Oliver retiring the vigilante lifestyle. In addition to a focusing on DC villains H.I.V.E. and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), Season 4 will also introduce Rutina Wesley, Parker Young, Jeri Ryan’s Jessica Danforth, J.R. Bourne’s Double Down, Echo Kellum’s Mr. Terrific, Alexander Calvert’s Anarky, and White Canary before her Legends of Tomorrow role.

Apart from Wendy Mericle’s elevation to co-showrunner alongside Marc Guggenheim, we also know that Punisher: War Zone director Lexi Alexander will helm an episode. Arrow Season 4 will premiere on October 7, but stand by for the full trailer soon!
