Just as yesterday brought us a fresh look at The Flash Season 3, so too is Arrow opening the quiver for our first Season 5 footage since Comic-Con 2016. Laurel’s legacy is at last unveiled, while Mayor Queen gets an intimidating new foe and some rough meetings in a new trailer.

By the looks of the latest footage making the rounds, Laurel’s statue dedication ceremony goes awry (what public events don’t in Star City?), as Oliver ends up kidnapped, with nary an arrow to come to his aid. The footage also offers a new look at Chad Coleman’s Tobias Church, as the city’s criminals band together against the vigilantes.

In addition to The Wire star Chad Coleman taking the role of new baddie Tobias Church, alongside flashback villain Dolph Lundgren, wayward vigilantism appears to be a major theme for Arrow Season 5, following the return of Madison McLaughlin as a new Artemis, as well additions of Wil Traval’s Human Target, Rick Gonzalez’s Wild Dog, and Josh Segarra’s “Vigilante.” Carly Pope has also joined in a recurring role as a Coast City reporter, with a comic attachment to Green Lantern, while former WWE wrestler Stardust will also put in an appearance.

We’ll likely hear more of Arrow Season 5 soon, but check out the first trailer below.
