'Batman: Arkham Origins' Launch Trailer Heightens The Drama

It's Christmas Eve. A bunch of assassins are out to earn a $50 million bounty on Batman's head. And boy, do they want it.

The new launch trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins spends quite a bit of time on just how much the bad guys want Batman dead, with phrases like "personal mission" and "dedicate every waking minute." It's intense. Check out the trailer after the jump.

I do have to ask: These villains (it's a little hard to know who's saying what) seem awfully passionate about killing a new hero who it's my understanding has just appeared on the scene in Gotham, don't they? I mean, $50 million is quite an incentive, but this dialogue makes it seem really personal.

Maybe this game takes place a little longer in Batman's timeline than I thought.

All will be revealed when WB Games Montreal's Batman: Arkham Origins comes out for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U and PC this Friday.
