We’ve seen more than one character take up the Robin mantle in various Batman comics, shows and films throughout the years — which makes the identity of the dearly departed Boy Wonder in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice somewhat intriguing. There are a couple of likely possibilities, each of them with their own plot implications, and while there’s been a fair amount of speculation, the big Robin question may have just been answered.

Robin’s cameo in Batman v Superman was a morbid one, as the suit of the Dark Knight’s slain sidekick had been propped up as a sad memorial in the Batcave. Covered in the Joker’s taunting graffiti, Ben Affleck’s Batman glances at the suit as he walks by, giving us a little more insight into this hardened version of the Caped Crusader.

But which Robin fought and died at Batman’s side in Zack Snyder’s DC universe? Many have speculated that it’s Jason Todd, who was killed by the Joker and later returned as the murderous vigilante known as Red Hood. There were rumors that DC and WB were planning to introduce Jason Todd / Red Hood (one rumor even suggested a Red Hood movie was being considered), and that might very well be the case.

Heroic Hollywood picked up on a video posted to the WB Studio Tour’s official Facebook page, in which a guide informs studio visitors that the suit did indeed belong to Jason Todd:

This was one of the big things from Batman v Superman, right across this way. The Jason Todd Robin suit. Spray painted on the front ‘Ha ha. The joke’s on you Batman’. Those of you that know the storyline, know what happened to this Robin. Comic book fans, unite!

Okay, sure, this is from a tour guide — but it’s an official Warner Bros. Studio Tour guide, and the studio posted the video to their Facebook page, more than likely aware of the Jason Todd bit. It’s doubtful that WB would let one of their employees tell guests something so blatantly untrue.

And honestly, it’s not that big of a deal, nor is it a spoiler for those unaware of Jason Todd’s history with Batman. But for those of us who do know, it is fairly interesting. We still don’t know where Ben Affleck’s solo Batman movie sits on the DC movie timeline, but if it follows a slightly younger, pre-Dawn of Justice hero, then we might get to see Jason Todd (and possibly Red Hood) in action.
