Ben Bates Summons Some Serious Turtle, Mega Man And Sonic Power [Art]

Do you know who doesn’t get enough love in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan art galleries? Mondo Gecko, that’s who. He didn’t escape the eye and drawing hand of Ben Bates, though. Bates, who has done some brilliant work with Justin Aclin on S.H.O.O.T. First and was most recently announced as the artist on Archie’s New Crusaders, is a toon tested talent with Mega Man and Sonic the Hedgehog credits.

More importantly, however, he sketches one fired up Casey Jones.Bates keeps a blog over at BBates.com with all kinds of fine illustrations. He went on a TMNT rampage recently, and results were inspired. In addition to Mondo and Casey, Bates also cranked out a Foot Soldier, April O’Neil and Slash. He renders them all with just enough decisive line work and a whole lot of turtle-worthy party spirit.

Behold all of the reptile ollie action below, and let us know what you think.
