Parting Shot: Bendis to Conclude ‘Avengers’ Run, Compares it to ‘Breaking Bad’

Bestselling writer and Marvel Architect Brian Michael Bendis tells CBR that he will conclude his eight-year Avengers saga in 2012. Taking Avengers, New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Dark Avengers and the various spinoffs and tie-ins as a whole, Bendis has written Marvel's classic franchise more than any other creator, and his work has made the Avengers the core of virtually every major Marvel Comics event since 2004.

The writer compared the increasingly excited state of the Avengers titles to AMC's notably tense television drama Breaking Bad, which compels us to hope against hope that Bendis' Avengers saga concludes with Jarvis tearing up the trophy room before turning to Tony Stark, grabbing his own crotch and screaming, "Wipe down this!"
