It's easy to see why someone who enjoys the inherent illustrative energy in drawing Jack Kirby character designs like Darkseid and the X-Men would love splicing the cover of "Uncanny X-Men" #1 with some Harry Potter concepts. Artist Blair Campbell enjoys all of those things, as well as taking requests and tossing around Jim Henson's Muppets and Masters of the Universe in his work.

Additionally, Campbell has drawn a fair number of Hellboy characters over on his Draw, Blair! DRAW! Tumblr account. His 93rd birthday present portrait present to the late Jack Kirby definitely packs more blood and violence than most of his pieces, but he riffs on cosmic mayhem just as well as he does off of Mike Mignola creations and fantasy-barbarian action figures.

Dig down through the last few months of his posts, and you'll also find some fun "Scott Pilgrim" drawings and superhero scenes featuring Reed Richards, Doctor Doom, Superman and The Flash. Check out a few of the highlights we picked out after the jump and let us know if you have any favorites.
