Released over the weekend was the final theatrical poster for Captain America: The First Avenger, signaling the final round of hype for what we've come to expect to be a pretty great film based on the classic Marvel Comics superhero. From the first teaser poster to the latest theatrical trailer, we've found little to object to in director Joe Johnston's vision of the Sentinel of Liberty, which we finally get to see when the film opens this weekend during Comic-Con International in San Diego.

Captain America: The First Avenger will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).

Directed by Joe Johnston and also starring Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Stanley Tucci, Richard Armitage, Natalie Dormer, Dominic Cooper, Neal McDonough and Samuel L. Jackson, Captain America: The First Avenger opens July 22 in cinemas everywhere.
