Steve Rogers has been spotted throwing his mighty shield during WWII in a number of movie promos, but a new TV spot for Captain America: The First Avenger finally teases a major plot point leading to Cap's role in The Avengers. It's a relatively brief look into the Sentinel of Liberty's future, but it's one comic fans will certainly be interested in. Potential spoilers after the jump.As you can see this TV spot shows Captain America, or at least his shield, being discovered underneath some icy terrain. Comics fans are versed in Cap's time spent in suspended animation, but the movie's method for bridging the hero's origin and WWII adventures fighting the Nazis, Hydra and the Red Skull with his moder-day revival is still a big question mark. One thing's for certain, though, this discovery scene will surely trump Cap's deleted discovery scene from 2008's The Incredible Hulk.
