Was Hugo Weaving not regal enough for you as the Red Skull in Captain America: The First Avenger? Perhaps Carlos Villagra's version of the boney, crimson villain will be more to your liking. He's got a very Vertigo-appropriate style that utilizes shadows well, but isn't afraid to play around with exaggerated body masses and shapes in the spirit of Simon Bisley.Villagra keeps a blog of his single pieces and sequential work. He's shared some original work on it, in addition to a slick Venom redesign, a badass rendition of Buzz Lightyear and lots of other portraits.

He works really well with low light and black and white, but his painted work is something to behold too. He probably draws the buffest Joker we've seen on here, and he seems to have an inventive eye for G.I. Joe, Masters of the Universe and other franchise redesigns.
