Before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had been fully fleshed out, they were nothing more than an idea on a napkin. One simple idea on a piece of serviette in a bar launched a franchise and brand that's still going strong today. To pay homage to Kevin Eastman's original drawing of his and Peter Laird's creation, Mondo is bringing that original concept art to life in a limited edition action figure known simply as The First Turtle.

Asa Butterfield Reportedly Cast as Sony and Marvel’s New Spider-Man

Spider-Man best superhero
Sony

According to Latino Review, after a long search, Butterfield has secured the role of Peter Parker for Sony’s newer, hipper, younger, version of Spider-Man. That film (or, let’s be honest, franchise) would be separate from the animated Spider-Man movie that is also currently in development at Sony, under the direction of Lego Movie filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

‘Jem and the Holograms’ Trailer: This Jem Is a Bit More Serious Than You Remember

Jem and the Holograms

The first trailer for Jon M. Chu’s Jem and the Holograms has arrived, and as indicated by a few of the photos released yesterday, this take on the classic ‘80s cartoon star is a bit more…serious. There are a couple of moments that promise levity and comedy, like Juliette Lewis’ record exec assuring the girls that it’s not them on that poster — “It’s Photoshop.” This new Jem doesn’t seem truly outrageous at all. She just seems a bit broody.
