Charles Holbert Jr. Makes Marker Magic Across Comics, Cartoons and Videogames
Half the fun while clicking through the portfolio of Charles Holbert Jr. comes from letting your eyes cruise around his design elements and pose concepts. He's contributed artwork to some comics titles you may have run into called "Sentinels" and "The Uniques Tales," but he's also played around with characters from Batman and the Punisher to Empowered and a femme version of Hellboy.
The full breadth of Holbert's portraits can be seen over on his KidNotorious deviantART account, which demonstrates some clever usage and arrangements of icon imagery, as well as a few instances where lets his characters go wild, as is the case with his Super Mario Bros. tribute.
He makes a lot of great choices, and his renditions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman Beyond and Morpheus show a diverse range of stylistic approaches.
