ComicsAlliance Celebrates Harvey Bullocktober!

While other sites may be content to bring you Rocktober, Shocktober or Mohawktober, ComicsAlliance is committed to commemorating the things that really matter! That's why this month, we're bringing you 31 days of the GCPD's resident slob as we celebrate Harvey Bullocktober!DID YOU KNOW...

• When he was originally created, Harvey Bullock was an antagonist for Jim Gordon, who faked clumsiness in order to screw up Gordon's investigations. Even if the clumsiness was genuine, that would tend to be a fireable offense in most police departments, but Gotham City needs as many people willing to risk being poisoned by homicidal clowns and/or bisected by a former district attorney as it can get.
• Later, Bullock was characterized as a much more complex character, with the sloppy detective being revealed to be an act to cover up a sensitive soul who kept an excessively clean apartment and was obsessed with old movies.
• This love of old movies led him to form a friendship with Robin (Tim Drake), who apparently watched a lot of classics when he wasn't mousing around the link farm to leave nastygrams in your inbox. Hack the planet, Tim Drake!
