CustomCon Returns With Marvel Pulp Icons, Red Lantern Rage and More

If it feels like we just celebrated CustomCon 24 four months ago, that’s because we did – but that doesn’t mean the Internet’s greatest custom toy making extravaganza can’t keep the party going! The spring edition of CustomCon, the show’s 25th incarnation, is currently going on over at Raving Toy Maniac, and the results are predictably awesome.

Since Monday, we’ve seen three different versions of The Sentry, including a Marvel Zombies take on the character. Similarly, old man Hal Jordan has succumbed to a tragic case of Red Lantern rage. That’s not to say it’s all bad news – it’s pretty awesome that the heroes of the Marvel Universe have gone through a cool new 1940s pulp lens, and just as fun to see four different versions of Kara “Starbuck” Thrace from the “Battlestar Galactica” neck of the woods. The online convention – during which some of the greatest custom toy makers around rally together to show off their typically insane new custom jobs for all the World Wide Web to see – ends on Friday, April 9, so there’s still plenty of goodness to check out in the coming days!
