After unjustly languishing in cinematic obscurity since the 2003 release of the critically-panned Daredevil film starring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, The Man Without Fear could finally be getting his movie due. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fringe writer/co-producer Brad Caleb Kane will be writing a proper Daredevil relaunch. What's more, Kane's reportedly being asked to adapt Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli's "Born Again" storyline. 30 Days of Night (and Eclipse) director David Slade is attached to direct, while Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark

(Rise of the Planet of the Apes) are attached to produce. While the 2003 Daredevil has earned a humble 43% on Rotten Tomatoes, it lives in most of our memories as the comic film even your super nice friends can only defend by saying "Uh... have you seen the director's cut? It's only kind of bad! Seriously!"

That said, DD fans should be stoked that Kane (who insiders label a DD fan) is on the scene. Yeah, he's worked on the super legit Fringe, but more importantly, HE WAS THE SINGING VOICE OF DISNEY'S ALADDIN -- TWICE! That's like winning the lottery while being struck by lightning twice. His middle name is also Caleb, so he's also got that going for him. Just give this guy millions of dollars and make this movie awesome already, Fox/Regency.
