'Daredevil' Season 2 First Photo Unchains The Punisher

It feels like yesterday that Jessica Jones was the only Hell’s Kitchen hero worth mentioning, but before 2015 comes to a close, Daredevil is already returning to the spotlight. See Matt Murdock meet Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Elodie Yung’s Elektra in our first official photos from Daredevil Season 2!

An Entertainment Weekly scan has been making the round on social media, showing Daredevil in dire straits against an as-yet-uncostumed Frank Castle. It isn’t clear how exactly the proto-Punisher got the drop on Daredevil with just a pistol and a wrench, but the rooftop setting might have something to do with a previously-leaked footage description, which saw the two first meeting on a roof.

Elsewhere of Daredevil Season 2, we know for sure that Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple, along with Scott Glenn’s Stick. In addition to Elodie Yung’s Elektra and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, past Bullseye reports listed Marvel’s Mister Fear and Spider-Man villain Mysterio as potential villains for the season as well, though no confirmations have emerged. Drew Goddard remains aboard as a consultant, though the series has changed showrunners from Steven DeKnight to Marco Rodriguez and Doug Petrie.
