Most Daredevil Season 2 news of late has focused on Jon Bernthal’s surprise announcement as The Punisher, though plenty of roles remain to be filled when Netflix’s man without fear returns in 2016. A new rumor suggests one such role could be a Boardwalk Empire reunion, as Vincent Piazza joins former co-star Charlie Cox for an unknown role.

Reports of Piazza meeting with Marvel emerge from Latino Review, though worth noting is that the Boardwalk Empire and Jersey Boys star may not have tested for Daredevil, but rather a different MCU role. Should Piazza have met for a role in Daredevil Season 2 however, LR suggests possibilities of everyone from the Bullseye role that Jason Statham vacated, to a rival district attorney, to a mobster involved in the Punisher’s origin.

Thus far of Daredevil Season 2, we know that Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple, while Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez will take over showrunning duties from Spartacus vet Steven S. DeKnight, with Drew Goddard remaining onboard as a consultant. Recent audition tapes seemingly confirmed that Elektra would appear in the second season, while recent Jason Statham / Bullseye reports also listed Marvel’s Mister Fear and Spider-Man villain Mysterio as potential villains.

We’ll hear more major Daredevil Season 2 casting before long, but who might Vincent Piazza portray, should Charlie Cox’s Boardwalk co-star negotiate a deal?
