Good news for those of you who like to keep all of your digital comics in one place: Dark Horse announced today that collections of its comics will now be available digitally on Comixology. Right now, the publisher has launched over 800 titles, including HellboyBuffy the Vampire SlayerUsagi Yojimbo and more.

Previous to the announcement, Dark Horse titles were only available on DH's own digital storefront and app, making it one of the most noticeable absences from Comixology, which has become the dominant digital comic retailer over the past few years. That said, it seems like Dark Horse isn't quite ready to abandon its own app just yet, as the Comixology debut only includes existing collections, and not single issues.

As of right now, there's no link between the two storefronts, so purchases that you may have bought from the Dark Horse app won't be reflected in your Comixology account. If, however, you're one of the people who tends to only go to one destination for digital comics, this opens up a whole lot of possibilities for getting great stories. Here's the list of big names that were mentioned in the announcement:

300
Astro Boy
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Blacksad
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Fear Agent
Frank Miller’s Sin City
Hellboy
MIND MGMT
Serenity
Usagi Yojimbo
The Strain
Grendel
Umbrella Academy
Halo
Lone Wolf and Cub

While those are going to be the ones that get the most attention --- particularly Hellboy, which is unquestionably one of Comixology's most-requested titles --- there's a whole lot more besides, including Conan, both the newer Dark Horse titles and the classic stories originally published by Marvel, and a small selection of manga as well.

For now, though, it's only collections, so if you're a Comixology customer looking for current titles like, say, Archie vs. Predator, then you're probably going to be waiting a while. That said, it's definitely pretty significant that that last major holdout has finally hooked up with Comixology, even if it's still keeping a few things separated.
