Dave Perillo Conquers Pop Culture With Pixar, ‘Monster Squad’ And ‘Doctor Who’ Homages [Art]

If you haven't seen Dave Perillo dishing out commissions at a con somewhere, you may have at least noticed his work in all sorts of wild places. This year, he made a Muppet Show print that was floating around at Comic-Con International, and he's also made My Morning Jacket concert posters and participated in all sorts of themed gallery showings.In the commissions category, Perillo seems to specialize in taking classic characters and making them look ready to cameo on The Powerpuff Girls or Dexter's Laboratory. You'll see She-Ra and Hordak fitting that description in a recent post on Perillo's blog. He's also designed some more elaborate pieces, such as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pizza box and a handy Monster Squad guide to killing monsters.
