The "Blue Beetle" comic book series starring Jaime Reyes might be over, but we definitely haven't seen the last of the teen superhero in a starring capacity - not by a long shot. If DC Entertainment's Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns has his way, fans will get to see a "Blue Beetle" live-action television series at some point in the future.

"BLUE BEETLE NEWS from DCE!! We have a live-action test of Jaime Reyes' scarab activating his suit. It. Is. Awesome," Johns told his Twitter followers over the weekend, adding: "Blue Beetle's going to appear in most of the Brave and the Bold's this year and we're hoping to develop a live-action show. Fingers crossed!"If you're ripping your hair out because Johns has seen this live-action test footage and you have not, don't worry - the comic book creator is doing his best to share the wealth, telling his followers: "If I can break it out of the vault, I'll bring it to SDCC. LIVE ACTION BLUE BEETLE!!"

I don't know about you guys, but I definitely share Johns' enthusiasm on this one. A "Blue Beetle" TV series would be all kinds of awesome. What do you think?
