How much are you willing to pay to become a superhero, one that operates solely within Gotham City, Metropolis and other locations in the DC Universe? I ask you this because the price listings for "DC Universe Online" have just been announced, and you'll want to know more before you get your heart set on a particular pair of tights.

The folks at Massively reached out to Sony Online Entertainment to learn more about the pricing model for "DC Universe Online," with a public relations spokesperson clarifying the following details: "The revenue model will be subscription based, with a monthly fee of $14.99 per month. The PC version will carry a suggested retail price of $49.99 and the PS3 version will carry a suggested retail price of $59.99." Sony would not confirm any details regarding possible subscription fees.Let's assume you purchase the console version of "DC Universe Online," which already rings you up to roughly $60. If there's no discounted subscription fee offered, you're looking at a ballpark of $240 for the first year of playing "DC Universe Online" and $180 for subsequent years - again, assuming no discount and no reduction in price. So, I ask you again: how much are you willing to pay to become a superhero (or villain) in the DCU?
