Most of the art that we see on here is made with ink, or at least with ones and zeroes masquerading as ink. Doctor Sonic opts for a different method with his tributes to Marvel's greatest heroes, villains and girlfriends-of, slicing through layers of brightly colored construction paper to create surprisingly emotive character portraits.Doctor Sonic doesn't just create paper images that resemble two-dimensional drawings, although many of his pictures are remarkably similar to flat illustration. He also uses the extra bit of dimension to add dynamism to his portraits. At times, he uses reflective papers that utilize camera flash, making his pieces a combination of pop art illustration, sculpture and photography. You can see many, many more of his pieces on his Tumblr.
