If you've been anticipating picking up Hasbro's as-yet-unreleased S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier since its Toy Fair debut, you may want to consider its decidedly more massive alternative. Coming exclusively to San Diego Comic-Con International this July is the "Super Helicarrier." Packing more missile launchers, a more traditional (i.e. not purple) paint job and measuring more than a foot longer than The Avengers movie version of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s flying fortress, this SDCC exclusive helicarrier will be available for $129.99 at Hasbro's Booth #3329. Though it's technically a comic book style version of the ship given its bonus traditional Captain America figure and box art by Joe Quesada, the Super Helicarrier will also come with a Maria Hill figure bearing the likeness of Avengers movie star Cobie Smulders. This flying aircraft carrier still doesn't quite measure up to the classic USS Flagg, which was roughly 7.5' long, but it's perhaps the closest thing current Joe fans can get to the classic ship if they're searching for something comparable in the 3.75" action figure scale (unless a new version gets made). You can compare both versions of Hasbro's Helicarrier toy after the cut.
