'Fear The Walking Dead' Releases First 'Flight 462' Details

Whatever your take on Fear The Walking Dead, it at least offers some intrigue that AMC will air snippets of a one-off special during The Walking Dead Season 6, one character of which will join the “companion series” in Season 2. Now, AMC has firmed up details of the Flight 462 special, also providing our first photo. Is the new character hidden somewhere within?

According to AMC, the first of 16 one-minute installments for Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462 (initial reports pegged the special at half an hour) will air online with this coming Sunday’s Fear finale, before debuting one new chapter each week, both online, and in The Walking Dead commercial breaks. AMC also released a first synopsis and photo:

“Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462” tells the story of a group of passengers aboard a commercial airplane during the earliest moments of the outbreak. Over the course of the series, the plane and the lives of its passengers are put in jeopardy once they discover an infected traveler.
The series is written by L. Signorino and Mike Zunic and directed by “Fear” director of photography Michael McDonough.

It’s certainly a unique approach to The Walking Dead’s traditional yearly webseries, considering one character from the special will join the Fear cast on a permanent basis, but will Flight 462 arrive with a bit more urgency than the series it’s attached to?
