Nobody's immune to rampant economic awfulness – especially not-for-profit crime fighters. With comic sales down last month, the Threadless tee "Fighting Crime Doesn't Pay" by artist Stef McFeters drives the point home in style by making hobos and hookers out of fandom's favorites.

While it's amusing to see Batman slumming it up and Superman reliving the events of his third motion picture, the street-walking Wonder Woman and shieldless Cap (who may be "Bucky Cap" judging by the black pants) come off a bit depressing.

Not surprisingly, it's Spider-Man who looks the most comfortable with the situation. Given his propensity for poverty and public humiliation, he holds the "Will fight crime 4 food" poster with a kind of elegant shame.
